When will life to return to normal

I constantly hear people mourn and whine as they wait for life to return to normal amid the Covid 19 pandemic. What is normal? The dictionary tells me it means -  usual, standard, common, ordinary, everyday, accustomed, expected etc.

Will life return to pre-pandemic conditions?
It might, I am not so sure. Even if it does it is going to take a long time, by then the new normal would have established itself.

Life after the Pandemic - The New Normal

What is the new normal?
The new normal is what you have been doing in the days of lock downs and Covid 19 restrictions. It is all these things that you have been doing during the last three months.

Things like washing hands often, ensuring higher level of sanitation, cooking food at home, perhaps from scratch, learning to coexist for long hauls with family and perhaps even enjoying life .

It could also be learning to slow down and taking  time to listen to the birds and bees with whom we  we share our Earth.

Work from home is the current norm and many have come to appreciate it during this pandemic.  What if we took it further into the post pandemic days?  Although everyone may not be able to afford this luxury the burden on the world will be reduced if this becomes the new normal.

Most importantly we may have learned that life is more important than work, work keeps us satisfied and free of hunger but what matters most is being happy no matter what happens.

Another truth many may have encountered is that life is possible without their polluting vehicles and unnecessary trips across the globe.

The new normal could include ensuring that you buy less, waste less and use your resources efficiently.

For some it could also mean learning to face their fears and accepting things as they come.

One thing people have learned by now is being a control freak doesn't help. There are other higher powers that take control, all the control we can have is only with ourselves.

Children are learning to depend on their families more than friends, it is the best time for parents to renew their bonding and work on closer and better relationships with children. Wouldn't this be an amazing new norm?

While we are learning to socially distance ourselves we have also discovered that churches, temples , mosques, synagogues are not needed to connect ourselves with God. All we need is faith and belief in the Almighty one. Religion and man made religious structures cannot contain God. Prayers on streets work too, prayers from balconies are fine as well, but faith is all we need. Faith is a spiritual thing, we have tried to give it a physical, ritual and materialist side to make it easier for us to understand.

Most of us have learned that we can divide our time rightly with work, family, creativity  and still live without major issues. Socializing is fine but we don't have to party everyday.  Engaging in sports is fun, but we don't have to lose our head over it.

Life is simple, we have complicated it so much that it takes us a pandemic to get back to the basics.
Simple life is not only happy life but it is also stress free life.Try not to complicate it further. Accept the new normal, don't wait for another pandemic to learn the basics all over again.

Life is amazing let your hair down, small the roses or jasmines or whatever you have. Savor each moment and make it worthwhile. Enjoy each day, bring a smile to someones face today.

Don't focus on negativity, we have too much of it right now with the pandemic. Say something uplifting to someone today, doing something beautiful for someone if each one does this we could bring about a balance in our world today.
